آشور کالتا، شهروند مسیحی از جامعه آشوریان ایران، در ۴ بهمن ۱۳۶۰ در ارومیه متولد شد. او در زمان وقوع اعتراضات سراسری آبان ۱۳۹۸، ۳۷ سال داشت و در میان هم‌وطنانی بود که برای رسیدن به آزادی و عدالت تلاش می‌کردند. در تاریخ ۲۵ آبان ۱۳۹۸، آشور در جریان اعتراضات مردمی در فردیس کرج جان خود را از دست داد. او یکی از جان‌باختگان «آبان خونین» است که در مسیر مطالبات حق‌طلبانه مردم ایران هدف قرار گرفت. از آشور کالتا به عنوان نمادی از همبستگی و فداکاری اقلیت‌های مذهبی در کنار سایر آحاد جامعه یاد می‌شود. یاد او به عنوان شهیدی که جان خود را در راه آزادی میهن فدا کرد، در حافظه جمعی ایرانیان و به‌ویژه جامعه مسیحیان ایران زنده مانده است.
